A group of aspirants working profoundly for themselves was my first thought for AIESEC in Udaipur during my recruitment. Though I didn’t have the greed to join but after experiencing the impact of how this organisation can change few hours of my day, I wished to be one of them. And so it happened. My expectations were more than fulfilled when I started my journey of AIESEC being a delegate of RYLC which was another world to me for those 4 days. That meet among different kinds of people actually helped me improvise my perception towards not only myself but towards the people around me. And that’s when I realise that every experience in AIESEC will bring out the positive change in you no matter how much things get wrong. It enables you to learn and improve things not only in this organisation but in the realities of life. After taking the responsibilities of a team leader I endure many challenges and accepted the failures as well. But the only thing that didn’t change is that I never stopped discovering new things which is a lesson in itself. I had never thought of being so indulgent towards my work as I do in AIESEC. It just makes me feel confident and constantly bring out the changes what others are mindlessly hoping for, no matter how small it will be.

Hello readers. Let us hear Tarushikha Salvatore’s AIESEC Internship Experience in her own words.

 

“I was a member of AIESEC Udaipur since November 2012. It was my dream to go for an AIESEC internship. I took a very brave decision of going for an AIESEC internship in January 2014. The world was open to me. I had the choice to pick up any project of my interest, any country to travel to make my own experience.
After an intensive search of some days I got a project of my interest. The project was called ‘Cultural Mix’ and the country was Romania (Europe). The project was to last for 8 weeks in a city called Pitesti. After the interview and the all the legal formalities I left for Romania on 19th June 2014. It was a beginning of a new chapter of my life with so many new things to come on the way. I travelled all the way from Mumbai to Romania for 15 hours. There was feeling of trepidation about my pick up from airport, my stay, the people of Romania, our cultural difference, the food and so many other things.
The members of AIESEC Pitesti made us feel home. They helped us to adjust ourselves in this new world. They held meetings and seminars for 2-3 days to plan a schedule for 8 weeks. I was an ambassador of India and its culture and a teacher too. With the assistance of an intern from Chennai , Abhishek Pandey we carried our sessions for 8 weeks. We taught the children of 11th and 12th grade. It was an exchange of culture, knowledge, history, present society, festivals and so many other innumerable things. Besides our sessions I also took time to travel and explore the country on my own. I visited 6 cities of Romania namely Brasov, Sibiu, Bucharest, Curtea D’Arges, Transfargarsan Road and Sinia.
There were 42 internationals of 14 different nationalities. We all stayed together, cooked and travelled together. It was like a gigantic cosmopolitan family. Interns came from Pakistan, Hong kong, Poland , turkey, Greece , Estonia, Armenia ,Azerbaijan, Brazil, Mexico , Canada , china, Egypt and Taiwan.
The project ended on 4th august 2014. AIESEC Pitesti had organized ‘Global Village’. It was a fare in the center of city. The main objective of this event was to showcase our cultures and traditions. The school students from 11th and 12th grade participated in this event too. They helped us put up stalls and to cook Indian cuisines. They also danced on Bollywood songs. It was a small competition between 8-9 stalls of each country. The motive of my internship was fulfilled when India stood first in global village. It was one of the proudest moments of my life.

I left from Romania on 8th august 2014 with my bags packed with so many memories, stories and experiences to be told. This summer of 2014 was the best summer of my life. This internship has given me the opportunity to learn many new things in life. And it was like a dream come true. I take back new learnings and a new me too.”

Balakalakaar is the initiative of AIESEC Udaipur and is now a national event of AIESEC India .An event  aiming to celebrate innocence by providing a creative platform for underpriveledged children.Description in a world that is known for its inequality,  there are children who have a plethora of things to feel safe and be happy, on the other hand,  there are children who lack even the basic amenities and  survival for them, becomes a challenge, let alone the fancy play things which every child craves for. Irrespective of what conditions these needy kids may live in, some inherent qualities in these children is what makes them a part of a spectacular creative world, where the wings of their imagination help them to create a happy world for themselves.

AIESEC Udaipur being a non-profit organisation which is completely governed by the youth, we have always focussed on giving the youth of the society the experience of a lifetime that would make an everlasting impact in their lives. In our endeavour over years, perserving everyday to give as many young individuals the experience of a lifetime, we realized that we completely forgot about those who, no matter what, would never have such an opportunity ever.Then we looked into ourselves and realized that we do possess the will to positively affect the lives of every youth around us. And from here emerged the concept of “BALAKALAKAAR” .Today done by various AIESEC Local Committees in India, we all push for the same cause no matter what. To bring smile to the face of less fortunate and let them know that we are standing strong for them too and that they are never forgotten.

This is a 6 week AIESEC program which  provides undergraduate students an opportunity to develop entrepreneurial and leadership skills through international internships centered around social issues. The objective is to target our country’s youth and help them enrich their education by offering them a holistic international experience.

As a YGEP exchange participant, you will work on a developmental project along with other participants from across the globe, take complete ownership in an unfamiliar environment, manage your own projects and track your results – exactly as an entrepreneur would. We will support you through this experience and ensure that it challenges your world view and helps you gain a unique combination of multi-cultural, social and entrepreneurial exposure.

Over 23,000 young people across the globe went on an AIESEC developmental sector exchange in 2013. This included 927 Indian students, who were selected from more than 80,000 registrations which came from over 400 universities.

The Global Youth Leadership Forum (GYLF) is an Initiative by AIESEC in Udaipur to explore and develop Global Perspective and Leadership Potential in the Youth of Udaipur.

The idea of the forum is to create a space to express Youth opinions on key subjects that the world faces today and explaining how our way of Leadership through International exchange is relevant in the world.

AIESEC Global Youth Leadership Forum offers a unique opportunity, for these budding decision makers of tomorrow, to evaluate and analyze their leadership potential and making them understand how International Exchange can play a part in it.

Global Youth Leadership Forum will be organized in the last week of October’13.

This will be followed by a Global Internship Fair which will provide the opportunity to the young students of Udaipur to explore & register for AIESEC’s International Internship program.

AIESEC in Udaipur, the local chapter of the world’s largest youth run organization brings the youth of Udaipur a wonderful opportunity, Local Internships!

AIESEC, with its international platform, is known to bring the world issues together and work on them for a better society and to develop the community through our Exchange programs. With the same motto, two social projects are about to be started in Udaipur in collaboration of some NGOs. The NGOs helping us with the same are: Cos-v, Jatan Sansthan, Aasra Vikas Sewa Samiti, Prayatna and Gayatri Seva Sansthan.

The projects named Project FootPrints and Strengthening Women and Rural India (SWAR) are two upcoming projects by AIESEC in Udaipur.

Project Footprints is a project which takes the responsibility of creating a hand of help for all those Children who are in need, who lack resources, who have zeal to do something in their life but are refrained because of various financial and infrastructural problems.

Our second project, Strengthening Women and Rural India (SWAR);

The vision of this project is to provide services for needy individuals living in rural areas to develop life skills, improve their livelihood and opportunity for a better standard of living by initiating and developing various services targeting their needs.

14 interns from various countries will be joining us.

PANACHE 2013: First college fest partner of AIESEC In Udaipur

AIESEC in Udaipur, after being declared an official expansion of AIESEC in Jaipur, conducted an information seminar in Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU), to provide a better insight into what AIESEC envision as an organization and the various opportunities available to the students. The highlight of the seminar was the introduction to AIESEC’s “Global Entrepreneurs Program”.

The seminar commenced on a gratifying note with honouring of Mr. Ashok Ghosh (President, SPSU) and  Mrs. Rinu Ghosh(Vice President, SPSU)  by AIESEC in Udaipur member Mayuri Tyagi. The audience welcomed delegates Akshay Bhama (Vice President Expansion) and Siddharth Ghoshal (Vice President, Outgoing Global Community Development Program) from AIESEC in Jaipur.

It was followed by the signing of MOU between AIESEC & SPSU by Mrs. Rinu Ghosh,  Akshay Bhama, Siddharth Ghosal  and Abhinav Gupta (Local Committee Coordinator, AIESEC in Udaipur). The MoU marked the official collaboration between SPSU & AIESEC.

Mr. Ashok Ghosh addressed the students and he appreciated AIESEC as an entity and the initiatives taken by the members of the organization. He expressed his happiness and support for all student initiatives and shed light on the cross cultural communication of SPSU with partner universities across the globe. He concluded with the praises of the international Internship program of AIESEC.

After that Mr. Siddharth Ghoshal graced the stage and in the true AIESEC spirit, energized the crowd by making them participate in group activity followed by an energetic discussion regarding what our Youth is capable of; ‘making a positive impact on the society’.  The session infused enthusiasm in the audience which helped in familiarizing them with creative, unique and innovative ways of AIESEC. The later part of the session primarily focused on the outgoing exchange program under Global Community Development Program(GCDP) offered by AIESEC. The four Exchange Participants from SPSU who had visited China and Ukraine shared their internship experience with the students. The delegates happily answered questions of the curious audience.
